I have recently heard rumors that chevrolet is going to build a super corevette for the year 2006 or 2007 to compete with the ford gt as well as the viper. I heard that they are going to put in some type of all aluminum big block that is going to put out at least 450hp. can anyone enlighten me.

Okay, when I read that, it's as if you are saying the Viper will be the biggest challenge. Well, the GT is slightly faster than a Viper, and can out corner almost anything besides and Enzo, so I think you should have switched them around to say a Viper as well as a GT.

I think the Z06 will be on par with Viper.........Blue Thunder should be Ford GT & Ferrari killer. I have my fingers crossed for a supercharged 427 :D If I recall Chevy HI Performance had an article on stroking out a LS1 to 427 and they used a GM source as the contact.
