Fee for navigation?

Fee for navigation?
I'm new to this whole navigation thing. Is there a montly fee or something to be able to use that service? Is there a seperate CD player so you can play CD's plus use the Nav? Is sounds like a cool toy, just not sure how many road trips I'll be takeing in a Vette. Thx.

You have paid the fee for the navigation already:jester . It reads the signal from the US military satelites launched over the last 15 years.

Their is no service fee for navigation systems. It will probably have a DVD based disc which contains the map software . Most systems generally require a CD changer in order to use the navigation system and play cd's at the same time.

I sure hope you can listen to CDs and use the nav system or else it is useless to me...i guess there is always the radio...but think about it. If you are on a long road trip where you want to listen to you own music...since i dont want XM then i wont be able to use the map. Then it will suck if you cant use both...i guess thats what changers are for but i hope not.

you may have to pay for dvd map updates, but those updates are not required if you dont mind being a little out of date.
