Sat in a C6
So a couple days ago my dad and I are driving down the road just outside of Detroit, near the Milford Proving Grounds, when up ahead parked on the left is a black C6. After saying "holy cow" or something like that, we pull in next to it. A guy is just getting out of it to get a haircut. So we chat a bit. It's the black test car that's appeared a few times here on the forum. It's about a year old and this guy's been driving around the country testing out some subsystems. He just recently took off the camouflage. It was full of test equipment and lots of wires running from front to back. We asked if we could sit in it and he said sure. It was hard to get a good feel with all the equipment, but we thought if felt a little cozier that the C5, but not as cozy as the C4. The leather seemed softer that the C5. The outside was a little worse for wear, some scratches here and there. It had black wheels and did not really call attention to itself. In fact the guy said people think it's a C5, except true vette folks. So that was our thrill for the day. Our next test sit will probably be in a cleaner new one.
