Quick question,
Is the C6 a bottom feeder? Does it take the cooling air from below the bumper like all Vettes have since '68? If so, then the Tigershark grill is just for looks and a change there for the plate would not mess up the air flow for cooling. Was just wondering, anyone in the know?
I think I read that it is 70% front feed and 30 % bottom feed - probably due to the shortened front overhang (good idea, apparently a crappy execution).

I think it has more to do with cooling the 500hp Z06 next year.

That's exactly what I was thinking. So not only are customers who want the open air of the targa and the vert penalized by not being allowed to buy an LS7, we are also saddled with a crappy design mandated by the need of air for the engine we can't have. This makes me even angrier. Analogous to taxation without representation in my book.
If they need that much more air for the Z06, let the Z06 have that horrible plate mount. They could use a design that adds an integrated looking mount to the front for our "measly" 400 HP LS2s. At least 75% of the C6 sold in 70% of the states wouldn't look like with out the Bull.
Longtimer, I agree with your opinions on the C6 100%. Dave (over the) Hill blew it big time. I stopped in a Dodge dealer today to check out the New Magnum R/T (also stopped by the Chrysler dealer to check out the 300C) as possible replacement for my Le Sabre ( I've had it with GM) and really took a good look at a black Viper they had in the showroom. Sorry to admit it but the Viper has it all over the C6 in styling. I'm keeping my C5 (along with my 56 and 64) and if I'm still around when the next generation Vette appears, will then see if they have something that will knock my socks off. I'm not going to spend my money on a car I don't like the looks of. :mad
