In Scissors post he said the C6 has a DVD navigation slot and a music CD slot. Does this mean a DVD movie can be played on the screen? I find this hard to believe for safety reasons. Forgive my ignorance - I've never had navigation.
Thanks, that's what I figured. I've had a custom stereo in every vehicle I've ever owned. I just think the C6 has a clean look. Kinda hate to rip everything out for my sounds.
Thanks Craig@SE, you were reading my mind brother. Now my only concern is if the stock stereo is worth keeping. The only stock stereo I would ever consider keeping is the Mach 1000 in the newer Mustang.
If it is DVD Navigation, and I have seen the Navigation on a C6 up close and personal, that is, from the outside the exact same navigation on the XLR. And I have put a DVD in on the XLR and watched it sitting still. Casue if there is DVD Navigation, then it will play these DVD's there are jsut features that make it turn off when you start moving. But we own a CTS-V and just figured out how to crack the DVD and make it where you can watch a DVD while driving at your own risk with just pushing 2 buttons every time you get in the car. So i think you should be able play dvd's while sitting still, just a matter of time til somebody finds out how to crack it.
This is not necessarily true. We have DVD navigation in our Escalade and it will not play DVDs in park or any other time. I am betting the C6 does play DVDs, as the system is most likely more "common" among the CTS-V and XLR now.

Dave Hill specifically said this unit is set up differently than the XLR and will NOT play video DVD's. Having said that, I know there are people smarter than me out there that will figure out how to change that
