I gotta have a clutch so I guess I haven't paid close enough attention to this issue. The early order sheets (have a printed copy here - can't find the thread with the soft copy) indicated the LS2 paired with the Automatic would have 385 lb ft torque. When did they first say it would be 400 lb ft for the Auto?

How crisp are the shifts with the auto? We have a 260 hp Volvo T6 that actually has a four speed auto built by GM in 1999 that has really loose shifts, esp 2nd to 3rd. I would hope the shifts would be firm and crisp. Also, I recall a magazine review that reported downshifts were slow. How satisfied are those with the auto? Thanks.

Getting crisp shifts from TQ-converter based slush-box is possible with a shift-kit, but highly not recommended since it scarifies longevity. Slush boxes were designed to provide long and comfortable shifts. Any sudden shift create standing waves in the fluid and reduce longevity.
