Does anyone know whether the grey interior on the C6 is darker grey than the grey interior was on the C5? The pictures make it look dark. I am told that the September Road and Track will feature a blue C6 with a grey top and grey interior.
I can't answer your question, but I have heard that the gray interior will have black carpet, as will the red. Only cashmere will not have black carpet.
I have ordered a silver/gray coupe and been unable to find a clear picture of the gray interior anywhere. My dealer believes the leather is close to the C5's light gray, although NY auto show photos on web seem much darker. Glossies in brochures and Corvette Quarterly look almost tan. If anyone has a color-true photo please post. Thanks.
On my 97 it was called Pewter. They changed the name a couple of years later.
What is this about black carpet in red interiors? That sux!
I hoped GM realized with the success of the shale interiors, that buyers want ONE COLOR interiors. I would love to get an all red or all Cashmere interior instead of the black dash.
I understand it's easer to assemble with all the cars having the same color dash, but I really hoped we would see the one color interiors in the C6.
Corvette Quarterly claims it is two tone to reduce glare.
But they were'nt worried about glare on the anniversary and commemorative editions? And what about all the other cars on the road? I've owned many, many cars without black dashes, and never had a problem with glare.
Once again, a B.S. answer to make an excuse for something else (not aimed at you). What about the black carpet? Are they worried about glare from the carpet???
