Default Placed Order Last night

Its official, I have a C6 on the way. I placed my order yesterday evening. DSO,Z51,1SB,HPW,ONSTAR, Cashmere. The dealer told me I should have it late September or early October. I'm number 2 on their list.
I found out something interesting while they were putting the order in. I told them I didn't want the front license plate bracket ordered, but by Maryland law they can not order a car that doesn' meet the state regulations. So, I'm getting the front bracket . Oh well.
The guy that is above me on the list traded in his blue 02 Z06 with 3500 miles on it. They are selling it for 39K, it is in the showroom on display. If anyone is interested, this is at Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie MD, at the intersection of 301 and 50.

Does that mean that all Vettes sold in Missouri will have the front bracket plate?

If so, then I'm going out of state to buy my Vette. The heck with that ugly plate holder. It ruins the car.

Dealers in states with front plates are required to charge you for the front plate bracket. However, the bracket is not attached at the factory, and if you tell your dealer that you don't want them to put the bracket on your car, chances are you can keep the bracket in the nice plastic bag the factory put it in.

That's good to hear. I'm going to make sure they don't put it on at the dealer. It will go home with me and be thrown in a box way in the back of my shed.

I live in Ohio and the dealers won't put the bracket on unless you ask them to do it.

Congrats. I'm on the same time table with a very similar order. Risking sounding dumb, but what is HPW? So do we just sit back and wait for the dealer to call us and say "your car is here" OR do we agonize over TPW's. constraints, etc......? good luck

I got it - HPW for me too!!!
