Ordering Question
So I get a call from my dealer and they tell me polished wheels are on constraint and they could place my order today if I opt out of the polished wheels. I think about it for about 2 hours and call and give him the go ahead. Then I ask how long after this would I have a TPW? The response I got was, well it usually takes a month to get a TPW and then about another month to get it. 
I was originally told september delivery, so this would actually put it early october before I got it. Does this seem right about it taking a month for a TPW? All help is appreciated.

If you give up your tpw, depending on how many vettes your dealer is alloted, and how long polished wheels are constrained, you may have to wait quite a while for a new tpw. IMHO, polished wheels look like crap compared to chrome, and cost more than twice as much. Get the painted wheels and have them chromed. I always have done that, and pay about $500.00 for chrome.

I switched to the painted wheels from the polished, and was told a month on just the TPW. I plan on chroming them. Does that sound right though? A month just for a date after he said the order could be placed today?

I also opted out of the polished wheels monday 7/26. I was told this would get the car built by the end of the month. The other surprise was that Precision Red was not on Constraint. I will know my status and possibly a TPW bt Wed or shortly thereafter.
