Nope; it was't. Entertainment Tonight had a behind the scenes of the ad, and it took them forever to park that car all Blues Brothers-style

Ok...maybe its just me but a vette catching air in a commercial is completely "ricey".

Can't they come up with something better than that? Who are they trying to appeal to....16 year olds?

Default Sweeeeet!!

Absolutely f--- ing awesome!!! Last time I was this excited about anything, I was a little kid on christmas eve....

"This IS my bag Baby........"

Also a major Stones fan, seen em' 7 times since 1965,.... I think I might have chosen "Outta' Control" for the music, but "Jumpin' Jack Flash" is cool too.

Mag Red, Cashmire, Z51, 6 sp, Nav, polished wheels, dual roofs.... Museum delivery.....

Good commercial, though I'm thinking maybe the sounds of the CAR would've been a better soundtrack.

Let us see a whole shot of the stunt, if it was actually done in one take.

The name of the commercial is called a boys dream, so i think this is suppose to be a dream sequence.

Default I've never seen a mullet in a newer Corvette...

Great spot!
Not sure how to take that, but let me be clear about one thing. If you think I fit the above image, you are sadly mistaken.

If you do some searching, you'll find that I am a sworn enemy to the "You can't drive a Corvette in the rain" and "I don't race on the street" PC types.

I came from Mustangs and I don't believe in slowly cruising the streets.

On the other hand. Getting air in the car is stupid. And most of the kids who would put 21 inch wheels with spinners and a pair of fart-can mufflers on it - then dream about getting it airborne on the street, can't afford a Vette. So the commercial isn't very well targeted from that perspective either.

FWIW, I loved the original car carrier commercial and also loved the second car carrier commercial with the 04' cars sliding into the parking lot too.

But I don't care for the style (constant cuts from one angle to another) of this commercial. The sliding into the parking space was ok...

One thing I have learned on this board though, there are a lot of Vette loyalists who cheer and praise ANYTHING that has to do with the Vette. Blind loyalty doesn't allow for improvement. I prefer to genuinely praise those things which I believe are good and criticize things which I don't like or need improvement.

Best Wishes!

The choice of song sucks. I know it's appropriate for the demographic, but, unlike Led Zeppelin's Rock And Roll, it is very much a period piece. I'm sure the 50-year-olds dig it, but it's just embarassing. I didn't think they could get any more lame than "Magic Carpet Ride." I was wrong.

The choice of stunts and camera work sucks. Could they make the car look any flatter? GM lately has had a flat-side-view fetish -- cars look like crap from this angle, cut it out.

Stunts in the empty big city is just silly. Especially if you're going to end it by parking. Especially when nobody gets out of the car.

A Boy's Dream? A boy with no imagination, maybe.

The beginning of the Bruckheimer ad so owns this ad.
