Default Precision Red or Victory Red

For any of those that have seen the Precision Red, how does it look in person. I love the looks of it in pictures, but understand it doesn't look well in real life, so they are fazing it out. I would like to order the Precison Red, but am waiting for some feedback. If I don't go with Precision Red I will be going with Victory Red

Default Precision or Victory Red

It's my understanding Precision Red has been discontinued and Victory Red won't be produced until November. Maybe someone else has better info.

undefinedundefined I understand you have until August 21 to order a precision red and you can put a order in as early as today on the Victory Red.

I think you will find people on both sides of the choice. Personally I have told my dealer to finalize the order once he can confirm Victory Red.

I find the both shades (Precision & the Metallic Red) too dark for my liking and I think they have introduced the Victory Red to provide something closer to Torch Red but with a toning down of the orange highlights some people didn't care for.

I saw the P red outside the plant on my tour. They were giving rides in it and also a black one. I had ordered P red. The car was in bad need of a clean up. IMO it did not have the " WOW " look I expected. The black did. The woman running the show had driven this P red car to her class reunion in Florida. She kept it clean and said everywhere she went, it was a head turner. As usual more than one opinion. Our order was changed to DSOM.

I personally like the precision red because it is darker than what we are used to and it looks good on this new smaller body style. But then, I like the dark red on the Audi TT also. That's why I ordered PR and am sticking with it. If not for the PR I would have ordered either black or white. I think PR looks better in person than in some of the photos.

I like the victory red but I wish it was not color common to other Chevy cars and trucks. Some complain that torch red was too orange but I just thought it was too bright for my tastes. My ralley red 67 is actually a little dull compared to the newer reds and it too has a bit of an orange hue compared to the victory red.

It looks like most people will eb pleased with the victory red and a few of us will be fortunate enough to have a little bit different color when we cruise into the shows.

You are out of luck if you want to place an order for Precision Red. By the time your order would be accepted into production that color will be long gone!
