DRLs can be programmed off via the DIC.

Good to know. Thanks. I'm not too crazy about them.

Fantastic! Is this documented in the owner's manual, or do we need to know a secret method?

I would assume that it's in the manual; but from what I was told it's not some weird secret combination, just an option.

Death to the smilies indeed. Somehow they escaped the 1980's.

I hope it's true but I didn't see anything in the manual about it.

Hmmmmmm...
I may have to have a hand-to-chin "talk" with someone...
Hopefully, someone can provide proof one way or the other.

Are the C6 DRLs "white" lights or what? My C5's are the orange TS lamps which I thought were inoffensive.

Look to be the same color as the C5s.

I might have missed it. I've only read though the manual once real fast.

The C6 DRLs are the larger amber lamps next to the low beams.

I'll believe it when I see it - reason being, in All Corvettes are Red, they stated that the C5 would have the capability to turn off the DRLs with the DIC. But when the production cars came out, this was not so - you had to yank a fuse, a much less elegant solution.

Hmmm. That would seemingly make them much more obtrusive than the C5's which are much lower.
