ny10522 - Monica, I wonder if you could compare the steering and handling of the C6 with the Boxster S. Thanks.
I liked the way the Boxster felt as far as handling. It's a mid engine car & feels very well balanced & made. My problem with it was how slow it was. Put a bigger engine in it & I would have been a little more impressed. The vette felt a lot stronger on the corners, like it was able to handle a lot more then the Boxster could. The boxster was like low speed handling & the fun factory just wasnt there.

I assume that this was a GM training course, so why were Porsches and BMWs there?

According to her original post, if I recall correctly, it was to train the dealers on the C6 and competing cars that a consumer might be shopping for so the salesperson would be knowledgable about both.

A solid concept to be sure, now if they just made it MANDATORY for the dealers with Corvettes!

Default nav question for monica

Hi Monica,

Great report and pics!! Thank you so much.

I had one question about the Nav that I haven't seen talked about. I've seen a Nav that has a screen that shows information like average fuel consumption, outdoor temperature, remaining estimated miles based on fuel, etc. It's a nice default screen when not using the Nav. Does the C6 Nav have any such screen that shows general information?

Thanks again!

Exactly.. I was thinking of the BMW Nav. It would be great if the C6 had that as well, but I am guessing that it does not based on all the pics and info I've read thus far... Anyone out there know?

I dont really know the answer to this. The Nav does show the map, of course, & it does show radio controls & stations. You can adjust radio volume, change staions, change the color of the nav screen (4 colors to pick from), plus it has a clock. The C6 still has the DIC with the mpg & other info showing on the instrument readout. I dont see anything about it in the training book so I want to say no you can not.

I like the new HUD a lot. It's easier to read & the GForce meter is too cool!

The Nav shouldn't need to show that information (MPG etc.); it is already accessible through the DIC.

Excellent Pics and a great write up...thanks Monica.

I must say that seeing all of those colors makes it difficult to choose which I like best. Although the Blue is breathtaking, and the black evil looking (awesome!) I think I'm going to go with my first choice...Mag Red.

Yeah but it's so nice to have a full summary in the Nav rather than paging through the DIC one at a time.
