Default Speedometer: English/Metric conversion?

Will the C6 have the push button conversion for mph vs km/hr?
I didn't see any metric units on the speedometer or E/M button on the dash.

Has anyone ever told their passengers, "watch me do 0-100 in 4 seconds!" in their C5? (100 km/h that is)

I think I remember the C5 had 2 different gauges as well.
Mine "only" read up to 200, but I could convert all units between English and Metric with a push of a button labeled "E/M"
A light right above the Corvette emblem would toggle between MPH and kmph.

So I was just wondering if the C6 could do it too.

From the pics I've seen, I can't tell if the C6 can do that.

Thanks for the great pics!

Was the conversion on HUD on your C5 and easy to change? I would also like to get the KPH displayed to avoid tickets while trying to do the metric conversions in my head. The German polizie are not likely to pull me over on the autobahn, but they do have a lot of those cameras on the streets that will mail you your ticket. Can't wait for the European arrivals of the C6 to start apearring.

I never did a speedometer conversion, hence I had the speedometer that read up to 200, I believe the models sold outside of the States read up to 300 (for kmph).

The ability to toggle between English and Metric was a built in feature of the car. No mods were done.

To make it more clear, I'll give you an example: if I were driving on the road doing 62 mph and I pressed the E/M button, the needle would jump from 62 to 100 and the "MPH" light would switch to "kmph"--was a neat feature.
and all the units in the DIC would switch to metric as well.

Mine is going to be American spec as I am an American just temporarily living over here for a few years. I was hoping there could at least be an easy fix electronically in the system for metric conversion displayed on the HUD.

Ah, duh, sorry misread your last post.
(it's tired and i'm late)
Yes when you toggled (at least on the C5) it would change the HUD info too!

According to the C6 manual (p3-68 American Spec) you can select the Display Units (English or Metric) using the Option button. This will change the readings in the Speedo & HUD.

They did away with the E/M button and now that feature is with the Options button.

Hi,

I've been trying to change from mph/fahreinheit to kph/celsius on my '07 C6 Z06, by pushing the Option button for some seconds (according to the manual). The display says "No option available". What do I do wrong?

On my 2011 GS that I bought in the USA & imported to Canada all that changes is the mph to km/h not the temp.
