Default Help With Allocation

Are there any dealers that can explain the allocation process? I can't help feel I am getting Jagged around by my dealer. I was just told I did not make this weeks allocation since I wanted a Mag Red Car. The dealer said the allocation is by color as well as options and they were not allocated any red cars. Options was not an issue but the color was. They said they get allocated say 5 cars none which were red If no red is in the allocation you can't order one. That does not sound correct and I think it is BULL****. Can anyone that knows be descriptive on the process? Also, is there any way to track you order once the car has been allocated at any other place rather than the dealer during the process?

Maybe they mean they don't have a delivery date yet b/c of the color? I've never heard of allocation having anything to do with color/options. Stay tuned...

As of this week, 8-19. Magnetic red was not on constraint. Precision red, victory red and Lemans blue are the only colors affected at this allocation sequence.

I agree with Corvette Junkie...find another dealer who knows what he's doing...Ken Fichtner placed my order this week and I'm getting Mag Red...no problems...not on constraint. Good luck!!!!!!

C6nut your dealer is full of . You don't miss a allocation because a color is on constraint. If he had an allocation and your color was on constraint then he should have given you the oppurtunity to change to a color that is not on constraint. Since Magred is not on constraint it is appearent that he never had an allocation to offer you. My opinion, deal with a Forum "Corvette Dealership" and not a Chevrolet Dealership. Case closed....

We have allocation for 14 C6s this week & I have room for your order. I can order mag red - no problem. Please give me before we finalize orders on Tuesday if you want to be ordered this week.

Thank you for all of your responses. The guy I spoke with is a salesman who I am teaching from the info I get from the forum. He does not know jack but it is hard to get to the person who does the actual order. I will go in there this week.
Thank you all.
Unfortunately I am stuck with the dealer since I already did a pre-trade and they owe me 23,000. I am taking a museum delivery if they don't f*** it up. It is Woodfield Chevrolet in Schaumburg, IL

Thanks again

That's why they passed you over. They know you're not going to order elsewhere. Time to go to the dealer and get rude.
