I don't know about you guys but I am very surprised of the number of people that are not long time forum member (no offense) didn't get there C6's first!
There's over 60,000 members and I'm seeing post from new members that just picked up there C6's?
Just thought the corvette forum members would be some of the first with new C6's.
Several long-time forum members have picked up their new C6s, but there really haven't been that many people that have gotten production C6s yet. You've also got to realize that there are not that many of the 60,000 you're talking about that are buying C6s.

In the "What kind of C6 owner to be are you?" survey, the never owned a Corvette bunch outnumbered C5 owners, and were over 40% of the total. Maybe the C6 has attracted a whole new generation of Corvette owners, just as the C5 did.
Of course, there are guys like me, who have been away for awhile, lost my orginal login and password, new computer and all, so I just rejoined under a new handle.

a lot of guys here on the forum spent much time bitchen about the exposed headlights and the open grill area and are still waiting for GM to change that.

Hope they arent holding their breath, it is going to be a long wait.
As much as I lust for a C6, I don't buy the first year of anything. Summer, 2006, we'll be driving a silver C6 convertible. 6spd, Z51, NO NAV! Until then, my '02 C5 will do quite nicely... Why be in a hurry? I can still beat the pants off quite a few cars in the Valley of the Sun.

Remember, it's only the 1SB that's being produced now. A lot of forum members are waiting on vert's and 1SX and 1SA's, not to mention Lemans Blue cars. Also, the museum is pumping as fast as they can to get cars ready, and a good percentage of museum deliveries are forum members so far. Tome was the first today.
Life is short, I'm not afraid to be up front. I bought a 93 Lt1 Camero so early in the run it did not even have a T-Top. They wern't being built yet! That car was absolutely perfect! one of my best rides! GET HERE QUICK PR C-6 #1176.
although the Vette has interested me for decades, the C6 is the first of the series that I have actually wanted to own... so I have a LeMans blue coupe on order but do not expect to see it until November or so...which is fine and rather exciting
Some of us are waiting for the next Z06 before making a decision...
As stated many times before, the C6 is evolutionary not revolutionary and does not make you feel like you to HAVE TO run out and get one. If you are ready for a new one, you'll probably jump. If your like me and still are having a blast with an '02 Z06, you'll wait a bit.
We have 100 new members per day signing up on average right now. Just a guess, but I expect that many of the new members are new Corvette enthusiasts interested in the C6.

Agreed. I noticed this also. While the poll is basic and limited, the C6 appears to have done a good job of attracting the first time buyer.
I'm not really a Corvette enthusiast but I am a C6 enthusiast. (Hope that doesn't get me in trouble.) It doesn't surprise me the C6 is expanding the Corvette market.
I've got a C5. I still have memories of all the problems that the car came with. Chevrolet doesn't have a good track record putting out a new model trouble free. I think I'll wait until until all the problems are known and see how many GM decides to fix.
