I was sure I wanted Silver C6 Coupe with Polished Wheels and ordered it.
But, I have had several Black Cars and Black looks really good especially with Chrome/Polished Wheels.
So I changed my order to Black.
Now I've seen alot of pictures of Silver and it looks awesome!
I have never had this much trouble deciding on a color. What the #%&E
is wrong with me?
What do you all recommend?
Thanks,
C64GR
It is a personal decision just like style is. Black will be hotter in the sun and does absorb heat more than lighter colors and is the most difficult color to keep clean and maintain. It is hard to see it at night when you drive where your fenders end. Silver blends in better as it doesn't attract alot of attention because there are alot of people buy silver SUVs/cars now in all makes. Silver will be an easier color to maintain and dirt won't show on it like black will. Personaly I was considering Artic White because white is the most forgiving color that doesn't show touch ups, scratches, repairs or swirls. It's easier to match the paint if need and white reflects the heat and suns rays opposite of black so you will be But I'll probably end up with the Victory Red.
Although I personally will be ordering the Daytona Sunset Orange, between the two choices you've posed I'd choose silver. I usually love black and dislike silver on cars, but on the C6 silver and the other lighter colors really complement the car's beautiful design lines much better than black, because they tend to show shadows better, especially on the side of the car. In fact, I think black is the worst for showing the lines and shadows, though it still looks pretty pimp. But if you feel like being a Russian mafioso a la "Training Day," go with the black my friend.

ive got 2 C6's ordered both silver and black. im only keeping one. i had my mind set on silver it has always been the one i thought i was going to keep. my reasoning for this is i have always had black cars aswell my C5 was black. but i traded it for a silver 350z which i love. i was afraid that getting a black C6 would remind me too much of my C5 my goal is for this car to feel as different and new as possible. but my dual roof package was cancelled. the whole reason i wanted it was to have the contrast against the silver with the tinted top. so this got me leaning back towards black. but i have to say my C5 got terribly swirled even though i took good care of it. so everyday im torn between black and silver. my time is running out my TPW for both is 9/13
i ordered the 10 spoke wheels i would love to see what color of the two they go better with. i think this could be the decideing factor.
as of right now im 51% silver but that could change so i feel your pain. i wish i could have both cars side by side and pick but theyre from 2 seperate dealers so thats not gonna happen
Well, for what it's worth, I just picked up my Silver C6 yesterday. I had an awful time deciding on color, too. No regrets. I love the car with this color.
I had the same level of difficulty picking a color. For once we have many colors that are just beautiful. I stayed away from the reds since there will be thousands of those. Silver is beautiful, but there are so many silver and silver based cars already on the road especially from Audi, Lexus, etc. Black is classic, beautiful and a pain to keep clean, but when you see it...it sets the image! My wife also said why do you want silver?
Good luck in your decision.

Silver is my choice... shows the lines better to me, lower maintenance color, cooler in the summer, and I like the contrast with black and the red interior......
I had the same problem! Started off ordering Blue, called dealer changed to black, went to the dealer to change to orange dealer talked me out of it saying (I will not sell you a orange corvette showed be a orange car on the showroom floor and I agreed with her and went back with the blue ,saw a daytona sunset orange corvette at a film shoot in manhatten ny and LOVED it,called my dealer and had them change it,still on record as lamans blue 1100 but says will change when they get their allocation for the convertible!
PS I saw the silver at the NY auto show and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I had a black C5 which I loved, then my next car was silver because I wanted a change. But now I really miss black and after a couple of years I really got tired of silver, so I'm back in black with the C6. I think both colors look great on the C6 though.
Both my c4 and c5 are black. Its always been my personal preference.
However after going to Carlisle and seeing the c6's in all the colors (except white),the silver w/ the polished wheels is what I will order. In my opinion,it just seemed to highlight the cars lines an contours the best.
BTW, I was really disappointed w/ the red. After seeing it in person I could easily understand why GM is changing it now.
After going to Bowling Green for the first tour, I fell in love with the white. It looks excellent with the headlights. Unfortunately magazines dont like using white cars
I think black looks better, but it's such a pain in the a** to keep clean that I would probably go with silver. I'll never buy another black car because they're just too unforgiving.
