Holding back

Do you think gm is holding back on the hp figures for the c6.Will they add more hp later in the model run? remember 345=350 and 385=405

This is almost a gurantee. We all ready know GM has a better cam for it, the 2002-2004 LS6 cam, which could easily raise horsepower. It is also a little strange in my mind that the LS2 with better intake flow, exhaust flow, higher compression and larger displacement is putting down identicle numbers to the 2001 LS6 motors. I am betting GM has some interesting tuning in the PCM to limit it(even though it is nice to say 90% torque from one rpm to another, the spread on the LS2 almost admits they detuned certain RPM ranges to achieve this goal). Since we know the dyno profile of the LS6 as delievered in 2001, we know the cam does not level off the torque band like the LS2 shows in its dyno's. I am betting that GM has timing being pulled up top.
