Need Help. Locked my car with the remote. Came back to car and opened the rear hatch with the remote. Laid the keys/remote inside the rear hatch and shut the hatch. Now all doors are locked. AAA tried to help by shimming through the glass and hitting the inside door button to unlock but nothing happened. They also tried hitting the door button to open the door and nothing happened. No one has an '05 blank in the N.J. area and so I can't make a new key. How the hell do I get in this car? HELP
UPDATE: AAA helped me get into the car by pulling up on the emergency latch between the seat and the door. Thanks to all of you for your suggestions - especially the one that informed me that there was an emergency latch! For the most part, a great group of people on this forum. Thanks again.

just use a #5 rock to the drivers window and you insurance will pay and your problem will be over
I saw a thread earlier today that mentioned something about a manual door release inside the car. I'm looking for it now, it had something to do with C6 Questions.

Get the 2nd FOB.
Buy OnStar next time.
OK, not in jest, I seriously considered OnStar for this reason. I didn't order it and that may have been a mistake. This is a problem that I am likely to create for myself sooner rather than later.

this worked on the C5...shake the car hard enough to rattle the fob...it will 'wake up' and should unlock the doors...
Have you tried giving the car a really good shake? ;-)
Seriously, C5 with passive and C4 the transmitters were set up to send out an unlock signal after being immobile for more than a few minutes, and then moving. give it a try. Best I can do on short notice, if you are still outside the car tomorrow I will try for more help.

I thought the problem was he was locked out of the car.
EDIT: OK, now I get the idea. Good thought. Maybe AAA can get to it.

Manual door unlock is on the floor between the door and the seat. needs to be pulled up, it is about 4 inches long, and is just in front of the seat, parallel to the door. It is on both sides!

thats the easiest way. just call a lock out company, they will put that bag in the glass expand alittle and then be able to pull the lever up and it will open!

since you are in NJ i am sure there are some ethnics that can get it open for you. always keep your spare key in your wallet.
I am sure what you meant to say was native New Jerseyians, right??
Of course, the type you are referring to may not be the right people to call over and say, "Hey, I locked the keys to my brand new sports car in the back, can you help me get them out?"

If I follow what you are suggesting, I think you are fogetting that the glass "indexes" up into the molding.
Just to keep things into perpective, let's not forget that this issue is not any worse than locking a traditional key in the car. Actually, I'm not sure I understand why the electric door is not opening. The way I understand it, when you push the electric door button, it sends a message to the FOB, which "replies" and allows the door to open. I don't follow why the key would be in a "sleep" mode, and I would think it is close enough to operate.
I guess we (at least I) have more to learn about this technology.

Almost anyone in Jersey can break into a car. We learn it in grammar school!
Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. I have given up for tonight and left the car (hopefully in a safe area). First thing in the morning I will try shaking the car and after that I'll try to get to the lever between the seat and the door. I was also told there is a pull cord somewhere in the rear hatch area that can open the door. Would this be in addition to the latch by the seat or in place of? Thanks again everyone. These electronic locks may be a problem - of course it is also my own stupidity.
