IMPAO (Pompous A opinion) I posted in another thread
"While I agree the prices will not be inflated as long as the C5, the wild card is the ZO6. It was several years into production of the C5 before the modern ZO6. This time there are a number of people waiting to see what the new ZO6 will be. If it disappoints in power or is too expensive, there will be more people buying the coupes and verts."
I totally agree. I think that C 6 sales are not as strong as they could be because many people are waiting to see what the new Z06 will be. If you can get 500 HP( and all of the other goodies) for only $3-5 K more than the coupe, then in my opinion, many people will buy the Z06. If however, the HP is 450 or the Z06 costs $65-70 k, many may decide to buy the coupe. I really believe that a lack of "confirmed information" is hurting coupe sales.
None sitting around collecting dust at my local dealer, here in the Valley of the Sun. And they claim to be one of the bigger Corvette dealers in the area. So, you would think they would be getting all this extra allocation. Maybe they are, and selling them as fast as they come in. Don't know. But checked tonight, and none in inventory.
For those (probably most) who dabble in the markets... Does the term "shorts" come to mind? Some "shorts" preach doom and gloom in an attempt to manipulate the market. Not that the doomsayers are trying to manipulate GM stock, but maybe some sour grapes?? Or maybe just wishful thinking...
