...of indecision. If, like me, you have an order in and have been second guessing yourself, or you haven't committed yet to an order but have been thinking about it, I have the solution for you: find one and go see it in person. I have had an order in for a C6 convertible since Jan 1st and lately have been thinking maybe I should wait till next year--especially after reading the heaps of negative comments on this forum for the past three months (the nose, the interior, orange peel, hp ratings, etc).

Also, I am one of those who has not seen the damn car in person since the January Auto Shows--man that seems like a lifetime ago! So, last night I did the internet search of Chevy dealers and the local dealer was showing one in stock (which of course I didn't believe). When I stopped by at 6:30am this morning on my way to work, there it was: a PR coupe with steel gray. Even better, right when I pulled up the manager was unlocking the doors and let me in to check it out. All I can say is (yes, I know it's been said a hundred times), THERE IS NO COMPARISON BETWEEN IN-PERSON and THE PICTURES! This is one beauuutiful car.

It took about two seconds of looking at the car in person to pull me from the brink of waiting for an '06. I am absolutely 100% committed to my order again. So, if you are on the fence and haven't seen one in person since the Auto Shows earlier this year, you know what you need to do...

They open their showroom at 6:30am? That's impressive.

I'm probably the only one on the forum who hasn't seen one in person yet, and just by looking at the pictures alone, I will be putting an order for a vert soon.

Whoever it was, probably got a good chunk of the commission which can be quite handsome at the prices we're buying the C6s for!

I am too! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I had not even seen one before last night, but the one I saw last night is now sitting in my carport. (It's hard to type when you're grinning so much!)

Good decision!! The naysayers are in the minority, they just shout the loudest. Some are sincere in their assessment; others are not and have an axe to grand. You won't find too may OWNERS who have not fallen in love with their car. I've put over 1000 miles on my dsom 6mn/z51 and am blown away by how much you get for your money. Have fun.

The underlying truth to the whole thing is the people who are the most impressed are ex-C5 owners. Lets face it, the C5 was a tough act to follow. But this car is something to write home about. The nay-sayers are finally being put in their place, by real world experiences.

Actually, I am between meetings at work. I have been putting in some killer hours for almost 2 years and will have to throw away 200 hours of vacation (can only build up 600) so if I take a few minutes to divert and post in the forum, no one really minds.

He was some kind of manager. He wasn't opening the showroom but had just unlocked the doors to come out and get the paper. It was still dark outside and he was suprised to see me. I didn't expect him to let me in but jumped at the offer. Like they say: Timing is Everything.
