Had to have manual transmission rebuilt at 92,000 mi. Wear on main shaft and 5th-6th gear cluster caused hard shift under load to break gear tooth and chip got into reverse slider. I've enjoyed every mile and still smile when I get on it on a winding road. Going for another 90,000 mi.

Windshield washer reservoir had a slow drip coming from it, fixed quickly at the dealer.

Nothing else, not one little thing, in 5.5 wonderful years !

Does Gr*mpy search on his screen name looking for old revived threads to lock ? ? ?

Bought my 2006 vert used with 19,000. Now have 31,000. It had a warranty history of two batterys replaced. If parked 5 days or more battery was stone dead. Trace and replaced BCM and deck lid switch. Thank you GM customer service and GMPP. Fixed. On a Florida trip I hit a nasty pothole and came out of a store after filling and slammed the front again. Broke the lower radiator support. Won't even call it my fault. No ones fault. Damn roads and way curbs are poured. Have noticed inner headliner has a worn through spot pass side rear where top folds. I have top up and down sometimes several times a day. Car runs, drives perfect now. Needs nothing other then looking at that headliner. OH I did do the seat REPAIR on my drivers seat. Foam was destroyed.

It's an old one...but what the heck...

2010 bought new with 12 miles on it in December 2010:

- Driver's seat moves forward slightly on quick deceleration, and back slightly on acceleration.

- Driver's side visor holder came off, threads for the bolt are stripped.

- Car occasionally won't 'see' the FOB in my pocket when I try to start the engine or turn on the accesories.

- Targa top rattles over some bumps.

Once the weather gets cold, I'm taking the car to the dealer to fix the seat (well documented problem) and the visor under warranty. Will change the batter in the FOB, as even though I've only owned the car 9 months, the FOB is probably ~2 years old. The top rattling...might have to live with that one.

No problems, I should have got the M6 instead of A6. My wife's Acura with 305 HP is more fun excelleration than this A6.

08 42k, just got it two days ago

-weird dragging sensation at cruising speeds
-intermittent rotten exhaust smell I just noticed.

really a great car as I've put almost 2k miles on it in 2 days lol. Gonna have these checked out within the next two weeks, just disappointed it may take longer to save for an exhaust

Looking over the later postings in this thread, the C6 does not appear to have nearly as many common problems as the C5. I have a C5 with 95K miles, 50K being mine, and it has a lot of not major but annoying problems that affect most C5's. On the C5, column lock, oil pressure sensor and dim HVAC display affected most cars. Our C6 has only 20K miles but no problems to date and I saw no evidence of universal problems in this thread. The most common problem is probably the inability of the owner to get the smile off his face.

Clutch gone at 40K. Of course I have tracked it for the last 3 years and drive it daily. Clutch got hot more than a few time. Otherwise not enough money to keep modding it.

I'll play. I've have my 2011 1SA coupe for 3 months now. It's been good so far except for the following:

-The factory alignment was waaay out of spec. The car seemed to drive nicely except for having some scary hydroplaning characteristics due to wacky toe settings. Moreover, my diff cradle was shifted and the right rear tire had +1.5 degrees of camber.

-The corner where the front bumper cover meets the fender incessantly pops up. I've replaced the clips. The dealer has replaced the clips. The darn thing won't stay locked down. It will be going back to the dealer shortly.

-The driver's side door panel resonates/rattles with the stereo. It's maddening. Dealer has ordered a new speaker as the first attempt at a fix. I'll eventually get fed up and resort to using some sound deadening materials.

My major problem? Hearing from a bunch of haters when the subject of the GS comes up. That is a problem that wasn't around when this post started years ago!

Otherwise my 2010 has no issues..

2010 GS 3lt, standard shift, 5025 miles.
Just a few. The convertable top hits the cover when putting top up or down. From new, when cold, the 2nd to third shift grinds a little. Dealer said this is normal because of the new syncro's they used in 2010. Starting to be hard to shift in all gears. Checked the clutch fluid and it is very dirty. Going to change out fluid and see if this helps.

2011 GS Coupe, A6, SSB ... 3,200 miles

I am very happy to say that this car meets all my expectations with no glaring problems.

The only 2 things that I am not real excited about is:

1. Brake Dust .. This car is a daily driver, but I do like keeping the car clean. I am getting real tired of constantly trying to keep the wheels clean. I am dumping the OEM brake pads for a set of ceramic pads. The brakes on this car are fantastic, but I just can't live anymore with these filthy OEM brake pads ... Goodbye to them ... Adios!

2. Sound System .. Dissapointed in the sound quality of the OEM sound system, but I can live with it.

2005 C6, a4 after 49,000 miles : transmitter that picks up the remote signal quit, brake switch that starts the car had to be replaced(wasnt able to press brake or shift down to drive), both motors in the power windows died 4 months apart, now @ 56,000 miles car wont start at all when you press ignition button and press brake, battery good, lights in dash works but nothing will get the car started. ill be towing it to the dealer soon.

Power steering oil leak from the input shaft seal. The shaft from the steering wheel to the rack. The dealer replaced the whole rack. This was from day one NEW. No other problems yet 9,000 miles.

Top squeek - Dealer Replaced latch.
Brake squeek - Dealer replaced pads.
BOTH headlamp delaminated - Dealer replace both.
Both front and rear emblems faded - Dealer replaced both.
Zipper on driver seat broke - Dealer replaced top cover.
Grinding noise in 1st gear - Dealer replaced diff fluid.
Interior pieces delaminating - Dealer replaced both a-pillars and top piece.
right a-pillar piece delaminating AGAIN after just being replaced -
Clutch squeek - Dealer replaced some sort of bushing or something...
Right exhaust clamp came loose twice - Dealer tightened.
Noise from the ignition switch - Dealer replaced the ambient temp thingy-ma-jig in dash.

And all before 20k miles.

I just want to know what chevy uses for their lamination glue - Elmers???

Other than that - Runs STRONG as he$$.
