Fob question

I wanted to know if the fob also locks the car as you leave? I know it unlocks the car as you near it.Its probably a stupid question but I'd really liked to know this.

If auto door lock is turned on in the DIC the doors lock automatically.

In other words, you must program it that way. It's not automatic unless you program it to be automatic.

A salesman told me that the car is always locked. If you push one of the buttons and the correct fob is in range, it will unlock just long enough for you to open the door.

That's not true. The locking mode is a programmable function through the DIC. He was describing the "Passive" mode function.
