Default Test drove a C6

Well the day after I sold my (98) C5 I found myself checking out a C6 for the first time this past weekend. My first impression was that (and still remains my impression) I don't like the rear end. Everything from the lines, to the emblem where the CORVETTE lettering should be, to odd 3rd break light.
But after sitting in the car...checking out the new gizmos (push button start, CD/DVD console, door latch mechanism, window sealing, etc..) I really love the car! But what really impressed me was the quietness of the interior. Its a 200% improvement from my 98.
And ofcourse, the ride is soooo nice. The quick shifting thru the gears, and tons of power. I think I can live with the odd looking rear end.

Maybe ill just wait it out and see what they come out with for the Z06.

I'll bet your '98 rode smooth, and it was very quiet when you bought it new. After several thousand miles, the squeaks, etc., will show up...it's inevitable.

Hi,

At first, I thought the same thing but the more I looked at it the more it grew on me and you gotta love the front though, it has more character then C5 (just my $.02). To me, the front of the C6 looks like a grinning frog ready to eat up the road and its due in part to the new lights/grill.

Thanks!

The look of the back end of the C6 has grown on me, too - especially in Mag Red!

Actually, I bought my c5 used. It had about 30K on it. But over the years, yeah it did develop some wear and tear and squeaks.

Im sure the rear end will grow on me, but im hoping that maybe Specterwerks or someone developed a diffrent one.
