Here's a picture of Paul Deutschman & Reeves Callaway deciding what route to go with the new body style for the C6. I was fortunate enough to see some of the preliminary sketches - that's all the detail I'm allowed to give thus far. But the car WILL look sweet!
600 with...??. just wondering since the Lingenfelter is 650 turbocharged, if you were using turbos and if so, then which ones? Garrett GT35R? or if there was anyway to get this w/o FI....which I guess there isnt....
I posted this earlier so I was just wondering the driveability of a turbo on the vettes, on the Lancer Evolution it was very laggy and annoying at times when it wasnt on the track....

I beg to differ. Reeves Callaway has a solid background in making some of the best aftermarket cars of all time, he is one of the most down to earth people I've ever met as well. The reason the Callaway products are a bit more are simply because they have true engineers creating and testing the products they sell. You simply get what you pay for when you purchase their products.
Again, Callaways background speaks for itself - and so do the cars they've created in the past. I'm certain the cars they create in the future will continue to be way above par!
ZR1 this post isn't meant to insult you, I'm just giving you my two cents.
Yea, he said the zr1 was an overweight underperforming pig,
his body kit is 8 thousand vs around 4 for anyone elses and he refuses to sell them other than the whole kit at once. He told a friend of mine who repaired one of his turbo cars that if he ever, because callaway was to expensive, that if he ever did that again he would put him out of business. Dont get me wrong, he makes some fine looking cars but if I had 150 grand to spend on a car it shure as hell wouldnt be a c12 for that kind of money you could get a Lambo or the Lingenfelter vette and have money left over. When I was looking to mod my zr1 his prices were always much higher than anyone elsesand when you talk to him he acts like he doesnt need you biz

I own a '95 ZR-1 since new - ended up paying the big price for a great car. The car is currently worth about $40k - I have absolutely no regrets. I paid $30k over sticker for an engine option - some were saying it was absurd back then but I felt it was well worth it. I feel the exact same way for a Callaway - the reputation alone stands tall in every aspect.
I'm happy to pay for quality - Callaway provides the quality I'm looking for & obviously other Callaway owners/supporters agree.

People have said this about Calloway, Mallet, Lingenfelter , Greenwood and many other high profile tuners and I have heard the same on many of the big collectors
I have had the chance to talk to all of them and get to know many of them well.
Most are very good people and know the cars and buisness.
They are $$$ but as was mentioned you get what you pay for and many times people think that this is being harsh or snobby.... I think many times people are just upset with people that have things they dont or cant.
All of these tuners and collectors keep these wonderful cars in the best shape for the rest of us to enjoy and they push G.M. to give us more and more from the factory.

I beg to differ with you, ZR11990BROKEN. I don't know what your personal experience with Reeves is, but I personally think he is a good guy. In the early '90s, I (a supplier) was working with GM and Callaway on some experimental transmission stuff. I flew into the Hartford airport, and Reeves picked me up, in his helicopter (an Aerospecial Gazelle gunship). After we were were airborn he let me (made my) fly it. Just a small example. Reeves is not arrogant, and he is certainly not a snob.
Photo and info Lance, thanks for sharing. I've always been a huge fan of the Callaway Vettes, and I can't wait to see what they come up with for the new body.
When will we see this body kit? Tell Reeves that some of us are waiting on the Z06, but if this car is around the same price range then some will be interested. Keeping things in the dark is nonsense knowing this. Come Jan, many will be placing orders, so it might be wise to disclose atleast a sketch. Date the sketch, sign it and await patent if hes worried about that.
P.S. If you can't tell already, I'm very interested
