I currently own an orange 2003 350Z and am planning to trade up to a C6. Has anyone seen the orange Z and compared the color to the orange C6? How do they compare? I am in Oklahoma City and the closet Daytona Sunset I have found is over 200 miles away in Dallas. A little far to drive just to check a color.
Does anyone else find it funny that on the 350’s the colors are:
LeMans Sunset Orange Metallic
Daytona Blue Metallic
And on the C6:
Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic
LeMans Blue Metallic
EDIT: Is it the same orange that was used on the last year or two of the Camaro? If so that one seems more reddish than the Z.
Its not the same as Fuzion Orange, that color is more copper-y. My wife has it on her Vibe. The Daytona Orange looks much better in person than in most pics.

A co-worker of mine has the orange 350Z and I have the DSOM C6. The 350Z is a lighter orange compared to the DSOM C6. The DSOM seems more of a deeper, richer burnt orange than the 350Z orange color.

Yes, it is exactly the same paint as Sunset Orange Metallic used on Trans Ams, Firebirds, and Camaros in 2001 and 2002. It was also offered on Chevrolet and Gmc trucks for a couple of years, including Yukons and Suburbans. It should be easy to find a vehicle that color, although it looks different with the different contours of different body styles. My C6 that I got last week is DSOM
Its almost the same and its a pretty shade. IMO GM wont keep this color long maybe 2 model years so these cars will be rare and you wont see yourself coming and going.
Gosh, I hope it's not the same. The pontiac, I've seen, and is TOO orange for me. My DSOM gets built today!
I received a Touch-Up Bottle from Pontiac for my Fusion Orange Metallic, the bottle said "Sunset Orange 56U". I checked the color code on my car and it was 56U.
the DSOM is code 71U. I guess they must be different.

I haven't seen DSOM in person but through comparing many photos it looks to be the same color that is out on the Hummer H2s. Anyone know if that is true? Or better yet how to find out Hummer paint codes?
I own a DSOM C6 and was serious trying to get a Lemans Sunset Orange 350Z two and a half years ago. I even had the huge 15' x 6' dealer banner hanging in my garage and looked at it everyday. The 350Z orange is much much brighter, not alot of red in it like the DSOM. The DSOM looks copperish at night, the 350Z orange will never be considered copperish looking. They are totally different.
