well i finally saw my first c6 mag red casmere.excuse me if i dont sound as excited as most of you.but for the last 2 months ive been driving myself crazy trying to figure out the color combo and where to get it from.local dealer had it in the showroom(it was sold) im not sure if i was excited or scared of some of the negative things ive read on the forum(POLISHED WHEELS,ORANGE PEEL) when i finally saw it i got goose bumps after admiring it for afew minutes and finally came back down to earth i remembered the negative things POLISHED WHEELS after i wiped off the overspray from the tire dressing they looked awesome what a relief(GET THEM)now the dreaded orange peel i have one question DID THEY USE A ROLLER TO PAINT THEM)i was very dissapointed with this particular paint job.i also thought the exhaust looked cheap.anyway i changed my order from black to arctic white with ebony (hopefully orange peel wont be as noticable) ordered my WHITE EBONY 1SB Z51 POLISHED WHEELS AUTO NAV. from monica today.i would like to thank all forum members for youre help and also for confusing me for the last 2 months.if i can ever figure out how i will post pictures PS get ready marvin i think youre going to get to know me pretty well THANKS AGAIN

From what Monica is posting, it looks like you'll have to get ready to take pictures in about 5 weeks.

Congratulations.

Saw the thread and felt compelled to respond in likewise fashion!

Before actually seeing my first C6 in close-up fashion, I, like many others I suspect, was not as impressed as I am now after seeing, feeling and just down right flavoring this incredible and technological wonder of an automobile.

The C5 led the way, imo, for what now has become a sharper and more line delineated C6 design, which btw again imo, allows anyone who understands and appreciates auto design, to see how those corvette engineers and designers encapsullated the best of what we all liked about our C5's and advanced those likes into this new generation, somewhat placidly, albeit with "bite"!

I personally only wish the former generation's sport seats were still available. I found these new seats a tad tight and somewhat crimping for myself but hey, that's only me and I'm sure or I think I am, that even that first minor negative would fade with some time behind the wheel?

The only other thing that caught my attention was the lack of "throat" from the rear exhausts compared to my stock C5's.

Well, for anyone considering, pondering, reading as much as one can about their possible purchase of this new C6, take a close-up and personal view of what is undoubtably the planets best value for a true sports car and I think you too will concur, it meets most of our collective corvette criteria to satisfy purchase.
