Default Emblem coming off

Got it one week ago (built 9/22) DSOM is really a fantactic color-just makes you feel good looking at it. BUT, the front emblem seems to be coming off- Each "wing" is sticking up-the passenger side more so-anyone else notice this on their car?
Otherwise its doing great!! James

That emblem should be snug and flat . Is it possible someone tried to steal it and gave up ? Have you left the car anywhere un-attended ?

Default Good news

I think they are just glued on and can easily be replaced. Some folks take them off, clean off the glue and leave it off. I think it would replace it rather than try and reglue it if I wanted it fixed.

I really doubt it. Its not bent. Looks like just poor adhesion on the ends.

Default I told you !

This is the reason that you don't buy
the first year of a new model from
General Motors / Corvette. You should
have at least waited til 2006.

Sorry guys, . . . I had to say it before
you know who did. Ha ! Ha ! Funny Funny.

Have a great evening.

The emblems have two pins to place it in the correct position so if you take it off, there are two holes to deal with.

Did you ever actually think this through???

Let's say everyone followed your advice. O.K.???

Nobody ever buys the first year. No sales, period. Where do you think the car line will go???? Plant gets shut down, cars sit waiting for some fool to buy them.

Get real...a loose emblem, one with adhesive that didn't stick???

Go to a dealer, they order another, install it under warranty, you glue the first one on your tool chest....you do have a tool chest don't you??

Thanks. was curious if anyone else had noticed this. I'll stop by the dealer to order another one (emblem, not C6) If you're still there Mr Yellow--will you soon be Another Orange? I know you and I were 'Orange' fans many months ago. I've never had a car that gets so many compliments on the color (most not realizing or caring that its a new corvette)

I'm staying with "Another Yellow" That's been my Forum name from the first time I joined in February 2000. I picked it as there were a lot of Forum members using a name with yellow in it so I just said I was "Another Yellow". Besides, someday I might just buy another yellow Corvette.

You are absolutely correct saying DSOM gets noticed. All positive comments.

Since the honorable c6corvette was referring to "you know who, Ha Ha" I had assumed my reply would be considered directed to "you know who". As I did not make that kind of direct reference again, it only goes to your question....yes those are my initials or at least what I often refer to myself....BFD: Big, Forgetful, and Dumb

Any other questions????????

I think that most of the emblems are heated before they are applied. The heat activates the adhesive on the emblem. For some reason, you's might not have been put on too hastily. You might try taking a hair dryer and holding it over the emblem for a few seconds or so, and then try pushing down the corners. The paint is pretty resiliant, but don't hold the hair dryer there too long. You don't want the paint getting too hot.

Yes......... I have a question. I have always wanted to know what the meaning of life was all about, I am thinking that it must have something to do with the anticipation that I have been feeling over the past month or so waiting on my new C6.
If anyone has the true meaning though.......... I sure would like to know.

I think the emblem is held down by double sided tape. They do that for the cadillac emblems on the grills.

No, you get real. Your scenario is impossible, since GM will offer 0% financing for 96 months and $10K rebates to move those first year C6s - and with those incentives, they'll move. Trust me.

Good C6's come to those who wait?!? Figured I'd take a stab.

I'm waiting to order an '06 because "you know who" told me I should.
Actually, like many others, I'm holding out to get a good look at the Z in Jan before a final dec on what to order.
Good luck getting yours soon.
