I can't say for absolute certainty it's identical to the C5 suspension....but I did check out the underside details of the C6 at Funfest (where they had a carhauler full of them), and can tell you the front and rear springs defintely do have the same or at least very similar looking adjustment bolts at each corner, so I'd say yes, same deal as the C5.
I saw a post from Andy at A&A after he got his C6, and I know he already cut the bushings to bring it down about 2". I'm sure he would be willing to fill you in on any differences or details.
One other interesting and unrelated note...it looks like they moved the oil pan drain plug to the side of the pan, and not the front of the pan like the C5 is.
I think it does look a little cooler lowered,,but I would never lower my C5,I find I have enough clearence issue going in and out of parking lots getting on the lift as it is.
Can the C6 be lowered like the C5? Does the C6 have the same stock bolt set up that the C5 has? I did a search but didn't find much C6 lowering info!
I've lowered both C5's I've owned. My experience is that if you don't cut bushings or change bolts (in back), there is no difference in ride or handling. I will definitely lower my C6 if it's the same as the C5.
Considering mine is 2.5 inches from the ground stock, that means I would bottom out on acorns.
No thanks!

Interesting. You do mean your soft rubber airdam hangs that low? Scraping that is not considered "bottoming out".
Here's the pic that Andy posted after lowering.
He's still got more airdam clearance than I do on my C5 (lowered 2"), so I don't see too much of an issue of lost practicality here.
And yes, I drive my car daily, scrape the airdam daily, and after 2 years of this "horrendus abuse", it still looks like new.

Yes. I was only joking with the "bottoming out" comment. I have to say though, mine is nearly as low as the photo you posted already. I don't understand the wide range of ride heights posted in another thread. I found out that mine rides lower than just about anyone else's. It was a full inch lower than most. I guess I'm "lucky". Lowering it 2 inches would make the air dam a half inch from the ground though. That's simply undriveable.
My air dam was scraping almost every parking lot I entered, regardless of angle, even at the stock height. My 99 C5 had 4 inches of clearance to the air dam compared to 2.5 for the C6. I eventually had to trim my air dam to prevent the scraping. I just got tired of people from all the way across the parking lot jumping up to see if I just hit a trash can, ran over an orange traffic cone, or if I just have a snow plow blade attached to the front of my car.

Now I find that aspect most enjoyable. The stunned and horrified looks on bystander's faces when they think I'm destroying the car when hitting a dip in a parking lot....priceless!
Sounds like your car is a little lower than most. Saves you the trouble of making it look less like a 4x4
