What is the thought on spending the extra dollars for the 1SB package? It seems like an expensive upgrade just to get HUD and 6 pak CD. I personally do not like the HUD but the 6 pak would be nice. Does anyone know if it is possible to add a 6 stack CD to the OEM BOSE, or do you need to forklift the whole stereo?

I originally wanted the 1SA, but it was on constraint so I got the 1SB. In retrospect, I'm very glad I did. The HUD is MUCH more useful than I expected and I check my speed on it constantly. The lateral G force meter is a blast. The heated seats, which I thought would never be used, get used almost daily until the car is warmed up. The telescoping steering wheel is slick, the 6 CD changer very convenient and easy to use, and the memory seats are a breeze to use. I also like the auto-dim rear view mirror with its built-in compass.
None of this effects the performance of the car at all, but it sure makes for a more user friendly environment. I also think that the resale value, if that's a factor, would be greater with the 1SB option package.
I'm kinda in the same boat with Stan. I wanted 1SA until I was told that it would take longer. The 1SB options, in my opinion are overpriced, but I like the HUD, homelink, the telescoping wheel etc. The stereo, as has been raised here repeatedly, is a weak link--but some are perfectly happy with it. The Vette overall, is a tremendous bang for the buck, and with the 1SA , you can really get a good price. Either way, there is likely no car in the world that gives you what the Vette does for the $$.

I heard that a changer will be available from GM, and apparently goes in back.
I think the added features in 1SB are fantastic. With the exception of the HUD, I have them in my other car and use them. Having experience with these features, do I think they are worth the added price? No.
