My Roller Coaster Ride On The C6 Order Track Just Took Another Big, Gut Wrenching Dip!
The Bad News Came From My Dealer A Moment Ago. My Order For LMB Vert Wasn't Accepted This Week As Planned: "Due To Partial Constraint On Power Tops."
So, The Dealer Placed An Order For Someone Else's Vert (Customer Was Willing To Forego The Power Top!)
Anyone have an update on how this particular constraint is coming along towards being cleared up? Your post would be appreciated!
They are building Convertibles with Power Tops but they are limited to 30% if I remember Correctly- The only Fully Constrained items are the Beige and Grey Colored Tops.... the larger Dealers are geting the Power Tops based on allotments for the time being........You also have to be Lucky on Placement of the Order --it depends when you hit that Button.... Thanks for the info. My dealer just doesn't have the clout I suppose.
I had a C5 vert, loved it; but, really like not having to get out of the car to drop the top. So nothing to do now but wait some more..............
I just gave up on my convertible order because I couldn't get the power top either. My dealer is not very big and he also gave away his last two convertible orders to customers who would buy them without the power top. I need the car before mid December so I bought a coupe that was already built and on its way to a very very very large dealer in Atlantic City. It is exactly what I ordered except its a coupe. While, I would have rather had a convertible, the coupe may work better for me on long trips.
BTW - I got the VIN and Kevin said he was working the line when it was built and he installed the right rear quarter panel!
From: Muncie, Indiana ...... Can I buy an amplifier on time ... I ani't got no money now but I'll pay you before I die

You wouldn't take a convertible with a manual top but you took a coupe.

Yeah, as I said, I needed it before mid December. No way I could even get one built and delivered before then even if I now changed to a non-power top. Your point is?

I ordered my Vette 10/23 Power and Beige top. Does that mean a new year arrival or later?
