PACE THIS - how did you manage to quote me on something I did not say? (go back and read my response - it does not say what you quoted me as saying). I'm curious as to the meaning of your response.
Thanks.

Well, I've owned a BMW M3 for 3 years and I can't
wait to sell it and buy a C6.
As a driver's car, the M3 is great but it has been such
an utter steaming pile of you-know-what that I am
just afraid to keep it any longer and I need to get
rid of it before the warranty expires.
In 3 years, I've had the car recalled twice (twice!) to
get the engine rebuilt, in order to keep the connecting
rod bearings from failing and allowing the engine to fly
apart.
And don't think this is sour grapes from someone who
bought a lemon - every BMW M3 built before Mar 2002
has been recalled twice and every M3 built before
2003 has been recalled at least once, all for deep
engine work.
I figure as bad as the Corvette may be quality-wise
(and it's got a rather poor record in Consumer Reports)
it has to be better than a BMW. I mean for heaven's
sake - recalling the car for catestrophic engine failure
twice?
Pat
