How many stares, thumbs up, etc do you get when you cruise in your C6? What kind of stuff do you notice while you're driving that you wouldn't get in a normal car?
The other day I was sitting at a traffic light in my C6 waiting for the green light. A teenage boy drove by and spotted my blk/blk coupe. His jaw dropped and his eyes looked like they were about to pop out of his head. The look on his face said it all.."So that's the new Corvette...WOW!!!" That kid made my day.

54k for a car and your day is made by a teenaged boy. Methinks someone needs a life. And has some self esteem issues if you feel the need to be validated by a teenager.
So far I have been snubbed by every Corvette owner on the road. I make an attempt to wave, and they won't even acknowledge my existence. Not looking for anything special from anyone, just a wave.
Had another guy give me grief, because I told him I DID NOT pay $10k over sticker, he told me I was BS'inghim. And I quote "Every dealer in the Bay Area is selling for $10K over, your an A$$ for buying one at that price" I tried to tell him I bought it through a broker and actually paid less than MSRP, and he would buy it, then the guy drove off in a very old beat up Toyota Corrola.
Mostly I get people boxing me on the freeway, hanging off my shoulder, just close enough to check it out and then I cannot get out to go around the car I am catching up to.

what a pointless comment to make. The person who started the thread and asked the question was looking for his exact response. get off your high horse dude!

I got more reaction to my C5 in 1997, than I have my C6 (and I have driven the C6 more). Same reaction for Corvette owners --- like it or not the car with the fixed headlamps when you meet it on the road looks similiar to other sportscars. On multilane highways in traffic, people tend to react more.
The good thing is that I did not buy the car to have people notice me. I just love the way the baby performs!
First day I had car in my driveway all my neighbors came over to look at it. (Most own Vettes, Mustangs,Cameros, and Porsches)
Whenever a car passes by my house I see the them look over as they pass by.
When parked at work, once in awhile I look out window a notice a few people looking at it. I wish that would stop becuase that makes me uncomfortable.

I would not consider 39k TOP DOLLAR. I waited for the C6 to hit the showroom. I test drove one. And I was not as impressed as the teenage boy in the first post.
SO, I bought the Z06 sitting right next to it. I am waiting for the NEW C6 Z06. If you guys are happy with your little "BASE" cars, good for you.

I can see you're not going to add anything positive to this Forum.

This is what the Dream commercial is all about. I bet one day this teenager will own a vette. The best advertising GM has is from the current corvette owners.
