I have been reading all this talk on pricing and half say no discounts are around and half say you can find them. I live in Chicago and I am a serious buyer of the C6 w/ the z51 package in manual. I am looking to take delivery end of Feb to mid march. Considering that I am looking at the spring(winter in Chicago until June) should I look at the possibility of seeing some discount from MSRP. I am all for the dealer to make a profit and stay in business but the 2000 below MSRP seems reasonable. Any insights.
Figure out what you want to pay, offer a price lower than that and negotiate to the middle (which hopefully is your price). Remember, you are in control as you have the final say on the deal!

Look over in the C6 For Sale section. There is a dealer in Wisconsin with 8 C6's in stock at $2500 off MSRP. Seems easy enough. Wisconsin is not that far from Chicago really.
You will win either way. I know Ken the vette man would order you one in Jan/Feb for atleast 1500 now so than I am quite sure he can get a bigger discount or you can search the main forum members and not only are they dealing they probably have the exact car you want on the lot or coming. The only thing I caution you on is if they get the convertible problem fixed for Jan I am pretty sure that coupes will probably go on a 4 week break while they start getting the convertibles made since basically they are on backorder now that they have accepted many many orders and will eat up alot of the dealers coupes so they can get the demand back and not the supply.
