Default silver paint

has any one noticed how the machine silver paint looks splotchy under certain light conditions?

this could be normal and an typical characteristic of metalics or is it?

any paint experts out there???

I haven't noticed this on mine.. sorry.
I'll look for it though - what kind of 'lighting conditions'?

Has anyone noticed that despite what we all wished and expected, the C6 is not perfect? As a matter of fact, I examined a sample of the paint under a microscope and noticed that there were irregularities of molecular proportions!

Are you asking because you have a C6 with a Silver paint job, or thinking about one, or just wasting time trying to make the people that have one take another look? If you dont have one, how did you see one under all the differant light conditions? Define what certain light conditions are, direct sun, shade, under man made light? Not sure what your looking at, however mine looks great in all light conditions.
Lets get specific and detailed!

Actually, just like many other cars, it does look splotchy under certain lighting. I think that's done to go with the orange peel on the paint, which augments the wide panel seams, matches the look of the milky wheels, and goes well with the distortion of the rear window.

With all these serious problems, it's amazing that anyone could even like this car. If it wasn't for those 400 horses, the drop dead gorgeous styling, the super seats, the unbelievable handling, and the thrill of the ride, I wouldn't even own one of these things. I must be a masochist to put up with all this stuff.
