Default Convertible Update

Hello!

I am new to the forum but have read a lot of posts concerning the C6. I have on order a Millennium Yellow Convertible with tan top and cashmere interior, optioned w/ Nav, Z-51, and polished rims. I have the following questions:

1 - Has anyone driven the convertible and if so, how is the wind noise with the top up and wind in the cabin with the top down?
2 - I guess that the production of the convertibles has been pushed back to Jan. due to some production issues. Is that correct?
3 - There appear to be some issues with the polshed rims that leave quite a few people unsatisfied with the looks. Any new news on this?

Thanks for any help!

I don't think many outside of GM have driven the Vert yet. I expect it to be at least as quiet/good as a C5 Vert. The C5 ragtop is very quiet and well built.

As of Wed, Kevin at the plant said they were still running 3 to 5 verts a day on an average. Power tops are on constraint as of now. Do you have an order # or a TPW? This will tell you how far along the process you might be. Youll need your "phase" # from your dealer. Kevin wont have any info until your build reaches 3100(aprx). Kevins # is 270-745-8372. Sorry cant help on the "test drive" part of your question

Regarding the wheels. This is not a problem that is new with the C6. I had a 2001, and 2003 that I ordered polished wheels on. The wheels on both were very cloudy looking. The week I got my 2001 I spent a lot of time thinking I could polish the surface and make it look better. But they are clear coated and the problem lies beneath the clear coat. I have bitched about this on this forum for three years.

The reason the C6 is getting so much attention in this regard is that the spokes are much wider, giving more flat surface to notice it on.
