Default A little Nav tutorial

I still get a little confused with the Navigation system. I got this really great step by step tutorial on how to set your home point from the Corvette Plant. Thought I would send it out to everyone in case those with Nav needed a little extra help like I do. Obviously you need to replace their home point example of TX with your own. Unless of course you happen to live in Arlington!

Trip from Corvette plant to Arlington, TX, return by way of Graceland.

1. Press X to tilt screen down

Insert DVD

Press X to close screen

Press NAV button

Touch AGREE

Touch MENU

Touch STORED LOCATIONS

Touch HOME

Touch ADD

Touch REGION

Select Region where address is located

Touch RETURN ARROW

Touch ADDRESS

Type Street Name (Corvette Dr)

Touch street name to select it

Touch correct city name to select it (Bowling Green, KY)

Enter House Number (600)

Touch OK (map will display location)

Touch OK ("Home Stored" will display)

Touch DESTINATIONS & WAY POINTS

Touch ADD

Touch REGION

Touch RETURN ARROW

Touch ADDRESS

Touch street name to select it (E Abram)

Touch correct city name to select it (Arlington, TX)

Enter House Number (2525)

When map appears on screen – Touch Way Point Icon (red diamond) ("Way Point Stored" will display)

Touch RETURN ARROW

Touch ENTER DESTINATION

Touch REGION

Select Region where Point of Interest is located

Touch POINT OF INTEREST

Type name (Graceland)

Touch RETURN ARROW

Touch ENTER DESTINATION

Meanwhile, keep one hand on the wheel at all times and don't take your eyes off the road.

A NAV FOR DUMMIES book would be a big seller for C6 owners that have Nav in their Vettes. I would buy one that's for sure. It took me about 10 times to program my Home location in my Nav. Wish I had Monica's instructions before I programmed my Nav.

Yeah this is why you cant type in an address while moving...you have to be parked to do what monica is talking about. The nav is still quite distracting while driving but im getting pretty quick at getting around the menus. I do have one question though...it says you can just enter a phone number and it will find the address. How do you do this...i couldnt find the enter phone number screen. Thanks.
