When I picked up my car no window sticker was available. The dealer says they've requested one but its been almost 3 months. Does anyone know why it takes so long or if I can call GM (or wherever)directly to get a copy? Thanks.
I run a Credit Union and we won't make a loan on a new car without a window sticker so that we know exactly what we are financing. When I placed my order for my C6 on 8-28-04 the dealer printed out a preliminary window sticker with all of the other documents and gave me a copy. When I recently got my car of course I got the real window sticker.
Something doesn't sound right with the story you are getting from you dealer.

I can't remember but I think the Nat'l Corvette Museum can get you one but it's a nomimal fee?

I actually got 2 (framed them, and hung them in the garage). One that showed the original order with both tops and a second without the transparent top.
I picked up my car last friday, it came with one. The dealer called me yesterday saying they had another new one. I picked it up today. I am a bit curious why one isn't available for yours.
I put a small mark on my original sticker. Les Stanford Chevrolet had a new one for me in two weeks. The mailing envelope was from GM Dealer Accounting in Arizona. It was mailed directly to the dealer and sent on to me.
It's called a Maroney Label and is required by Federal law not to be removed by anyone except the buyer of the vehicle. Most dealers do however, remove them from the window and hand them to the customer at delivery.....so they can clean and detail the car. If you don't get the window label, the dealer is indeed in violation of Federal law. Call Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 and tell them what happened.

Bob is completely correct here. Even if the car was a demo, they should have saved it. If it was damaged, they can get a new one from GM in no time.
