[QUOTE=RedC6Coupe]Really depends on your dealer's allocation and the options you've ordered. There are still a few constraints. 3 months is not at all unreasonable.
I put my deposit down on Tuesday and my order was placed and accepted by GM yesterday. I am told there is a possibility of a pre-Christmas delivery as my dealer has allocation and there are no constraints, however, I think it will be closer to mid-January. So, thats probably 6 weeks.
I ordered Nov 1 during the coupe constraint. Order was accepted by GM Nov 11. I now have a 12/6 TPW with the car to begin down the line 12/9. I hope to pick it up at the NCM the week of 12/20. So if there had not been any constraints it would have been 4 weeks to build date.
However now that convertibles are going down the line I would bet coupes will be slowing down. Just make sure your dealer has an allocation before you order.
Don't see anything in your order that was on the latest constraint list we saw. Your dealer knows about 8-10 weeks ahead of time how many allocations he's going to have. If your order is going in on one of those allocations he's got in the next 3 or 4 weeks, you could probably get it in the next 2-3 months. If your order doesn't go in until the 8th or 10th week, it might take a little longer.
Ordered mine a long time ago and at best case I am Feburary.
That doesn't count! You've got a power top convertible. They are taking extra special care of your car, that's why your wait is so long.
The average is 7 or 8 weeks for us. I've seen them in 4 and I've seen them in 12. Anything ordered right now is going to automatically have 2 weeks additional time added on to it because of the holiday shutdow.
Also, now they are making convertibles, coupes are going to take longer. When coupes were the only thing coming off the line, they were coming fast. Verts will slow down the coupes.
Order allocation is everything. I ordered mine Nov 11, car will be built tomorrow.
And yes you will now have delays for Holliday shut-down and possible constraints for options will hold you up. Kevin did say they will be working some Sat before Christmas, also reading some other posts looks like they maybe slightly ahead of schedule with existing orders.
Goodluck.
I am getting ready to order a C6 coupe and the dealer is telling me about 3 months to receive. Is this what other members are experiencing?
Thanks,
Thomas
