Default Vert orders moved again

Just checked with my dealer and Marvin,Apparently Vert orders were moved again. From 11/22 >1/3 >1/31 >2/21 That's four moves in a month. Mag/red 1SB,F55,Nav,XM,Power black top. What the #@$##$$#@#@@ $$# is GM doing trying to drive people away from this car? Or maybe they are trying to be elitist. I've seen better engineering and planning in rope manufacturers

I saw your other post and while I am not going to bother Marvin today he updated me yesterday that if mine has moved I am changing my order to an 06 which is probably smarter anyway so they can in fact work out the bugs and I can get the few changes that might be made for an 06. This time I will get museum delivery so would probably get car in late August compared to March by the time Allied delivers. Its 5 months I have almost been waiting that long now.

I know you're going crazy as well as blowing smoke out of your nose. I think if you wait til 06 you'll miss the upcoming Spring & Summer and go crazy when it's nice out wishing you had your car. This is easy for me to say as my vert came off the line last week.
There is no way to 'sugar coat' the waiting and delay you're going through, IT STINKS ! If you would've known it was going to be Feb from the get go for example, it probably wouldn't be so bad. The not knowing is killer. I hope you and all the other vert waiters can muster the strength and wait it out. It will be worth it when you do take delivery. There's always the chance they may bump the orders forward too! I Hope your dream isn't too far away.

While I agree with you the spring and summer will suck the kinks being worked out and the hope on the XM antenna automatic tranmission and any other changes that might or might not occur all are positve things as well. If I knew March from the beginning than I would have never ordered anyway just like I think most people waiting for the new Z06 if they can't have till March of 06 why not wait 4 to 5 months for the 07 model? I know many people have said in threads it is stupid to buy a first year model which I disagree but if the next years model is only 5 months away than I think you should consider it plus the price will be very close and the newer model will be worth a couple more thousand years down the road as well.

Short-Throw,your words of consolation are much appreciated. And yes, there is a lot of smoke coming out of my nose at the moment.I have sent emails to GM voicing my displeasure ,but i fear they will be to no avail. And you are right, it's the not knowing that kills me. I started this process last February after a friend advised me that i would be much happier with the Vette as opposed to the Porsche i was contemplating.Right now it will be a year since i started down this road. The fact that they are producing 'Verts with my options doesn't help matters either.Like i said in a previous thread, "I've seen better planning and engineering from a rope plant" ,My other fear is that this will drive others away from the brand, further away from American cars
