Default More Aggressive Base suspension!!

Got me the Z51 Sway bars on order!

I have the base suspension, and I love it! but i think 17mm sway bars won't cut it on a 400 hp car. so i am upgrading to the 25mm ones

Will let you all know how it turns out, but the ones on it now are way too skinny! and 8mm difference will do the job.

How much will this cost you? And where are you getting the bars?

Thanks for the info, and yes, please do keep us informed.

I am fixing to go and pay for them now, but from what i heard yesterday it's gonna be around $150.00 with the new Bushings n all!

And to answer your question, i am buying them directly from the dealer, but they need a Vin # off of a Z51 to make sure they get you the right part.

The dealer doesn't have "Base, F55 & Z51" in their system, it's " F1, F2 & F3) so you would either bring a Vin, which they prefer, or ask for the sport F3 package.

I will keep you posted.

Probably one of the most bangs for the buck out there. If the C6 responds like the C5 did. Many C5er's upgraded to the Z06 bars and shocks. Complete package cost less than $600 for a C5. I did that on my 99 coupe and loved the improvement.

Sway Bars, with hardwear + tax = $230.00!

If i wanted to upgrade the shocks and the springs, i will be looking at an additional $1000.00 with the dealer discount that i got today.

I am very happy with the way the base suspension rides, i am sure i will be a lot happier with the new sway bars.

I will let you folks know how it turns out in about two weeks.

The Z codes are just packages. Suspension components are classified by the suspension.
FE1 for base and F55 MSRC
FE3 for Z51

I would be very interested in a comparable upgrade for my C6 with the base suspension. Maybe after the first of the year.

I think the Z51 bars are a good idea. It will flatten out the turns some while not changing the straight line cruising ride. But is has nothing to do with how much hp the car has. It is chassis tuning plain and simple...
