How do I test my F55 Suspension to see if it's working.
Because I can't tell any difference between the two positions.
I always thought I was a "sensitive" kind of guy, but for the life of me...
I couldn't tell the difference between the 3 positions on my F45 C5 either.
$1700 option... I'm starting to feel that I should get "sucker" tattooed on my forehead.
There was a long thread by a guy who figured out some kind of test, but then he backed off and stopped posting. He somehow determined that the wrong wiring harness from his switch had been hooked up, and that the switch wasn't actually doing anything.
Are there any tests for this system? Thanks Stephen
Hernan, I really didn't want to hear that, but thanks for the frankness.
OK, does anyone within 250 miles of Tulsa have one that works? I'll buy you a good (steak and lobster) dinner if you let me drive yours, or even give me a ride so I can "experience" what it's supposed to do.
Ted - I think you have a new career on the offering<>.

My "51" bars are going on this week so I'll be reporting that my F55 suspension will finally be working !.

Actually...I've almost come to the conclusion that it has ALWAYS been working and it's the "Tour" setting that isn't....

What a coincidence, this morning I was reading an article about MSRC in Corvette magazine. So today I was doing a bit of testing myself. I am learning to understand what it really does. In reality it is really doing more in tour mode. The differences can be subtle especially on not so nasty roads. The first good test is a speed bump (I found some good ones at Home Depot today), hit it a a speed that should make you cringe and see what happens. That will amaze you as to how it absorbs it without any jarring. It seems the front is a bit smoother than the back, but unreal. To test the difference between sport and tour, you have to find a road where you can let it kinda hang out and the surfaces ain't so good. Body roll is restrained better in Sport, and is slightly more jarring. I guess the best test between the two would be a nasty set of railroad tracks. Try it in sport and then in tour. Neither will work on your kidneys. The point of the MSRC is to keep the wheels on the ground. In reality the only true way to find out how well it really works is to drive a Standard or Z51 and then drive the MSRC, then all will be understood.
I felt the same way, "is it even working?" But then I took it on the highway, drove about 15 miles in tour then switched to sport. There IS a significant difference in the feel of the car. There's more feedback from the road, handling improves at higher speeds and unfortunately the gaps between regular pavement at the concrete bridge surfaces feel like grand canyons. I mostly use tour mode around here because of bad road surfaces. It definitely helps to keep the wheels from hopping. It's an excellent system and I'd recommend it.
I can tell a BIG difference on a bumpy road and in fast tight turns, but found it difficult to feel any BIG difference just cruising down the highway.
I feel a subtle difference on the highway, but our roads are not that bad compared to other parts of the country, so it becomes a bit more difficult to feel the difference.
