Today while taking the C6 out some debris from the road hit my car. When it happened I thought it just hit my windsield. Didn't damage the windshield so i kept on driving. When I got home I noticed 2 medium size rock chips on my hood. One was the size of a penny and the other the size of a dime. What ever hit my car went through the paint and clearcoat and now I have two White gashes on my Mag Red hood.

AAARRRGGGHHH
jabez, I cringe as I read this. Sorry to hear about your mishap.
Find a top notch shop and put it behind you.
I've only had about two days of highway driving and already i have many little white speckles around the front intake. Very noticeable on a black car. I knew this was going to happen and see it as normal wear. At least this can be fixed by having the car's front end resprayed every so often.
In everyday driving, this kind of thing will be hard to avoid. What happened to you is worse than just nicks from gravel, but a good body shop can spray and blend the hood so you'll never know anything happened.
I'd be very upset if this happened to me, but it really is an easy repair.
Speaking of scratches, anyone have any experince with these guys? Personally, I've never been able to touch up scratches to the point where you can't see them, but maybe getting perfectly matched colors will help?
Hell no, that's awful and a chip the size of a gnats *** is too big for most of us. Espesially when there's no way to avoid it!
My wife took out an 80 lb 8 foot long truck tire carcass one night in the fast lane.
Only minor damage hopefully a lesson learned for her about night driving.
i find myself wanting to strangle the friggin truckers who for some reason refuse to cover up their load and thus rain down debris on us shlubs who are stuck behind them
Dude, that really bites. Sorry to hear about that. Good luck with the repairs. Just out of curiosity, did the rocks come off a truck or someones tires? I hate that, and try to avoid big trucks by hanging way back, or passing them at the speed of heat.
