Default Programable garage door opener?

I have programed my C6 to open the primary gaarage door for my C6 but have been unable to program the second garage door to open. Kinda weird because the second door is the one that usually opens from a block away and still works great with the opener that is in my truck...It just wont works as opener #2 in the vette. Any ideas?

Mine works fine for 3 different doors. More info is needed, different brands? Different models?

Same brand door openers on both..same models exactly. Me thinks Im making a programming error on door opener #2. When I push door 1 the lite above the one is solid..when I push door 2 the lite above it blinks

Make sure one doesn't have a rolling code.
Probably not since you say they're the same.
When you do the setup, only hold down the two outside ONCE to start the process.
Don't hold these down again, when trying to program the 2nd.
Otherwise you've erased the 1st!

That's a programming problem. I did the same thing on the Escalade when I was trying to program it.

Thanks for the great info
I was over the inlaws last night and they have a mercades and a lexus.
He has had this problem since he got the lexus.
So i did what you said
programmed the mercades than drove it out on the street away from the lexus.
then programmed the lexus and THEY BOTH WORKED
Now maybe my wife will stop giving me a hard time for spending too much time on the forum!

I still can't get mine to work, I am now, however reluntantly, ready to turn this challenge over to the middle son. Kid is always shaming me. Guess I am an easy target.

Default Third Option

Try putting programming it with third button.

I have tried everything in the manual...step by step and door #2 still will not respond.......The vette opener gives all the proper indications that it has remembered the code but it still wont open garage door #2..........soooooooooo.... I put the old double garage door opener on the visor......I've given up!

Start over.
Erase all by holding the 2 outside buttons down...
Program door #2 first, and then see if you can get door #1.

Alien waves.... Alien waves....

Funny, one day an aircraft was flying low (not normal where I live) and our garage door opened.

Must be alien's.

GOOD LUCK.
-Bill.

(at least you have warranty!! AHAHAHAH)

Default Here's a trick

Try borrowing a neighbors remote (make sure he has same garage door opener). Use it to "teach" your remote, then retry the programming. And no, you won't be able to open his door.

Hi! I am trying to find out if the rolling code door opener will work on the new c6 buttons. since I have not received my new c6 yet, I wanted to update my openers, that are 10 years old, before the vette arrives. I'm reading here that the c6 cannot open this setup. My question is what do you vette owners do to keep people from using a code copier from sitting near by coping the codes? thanks for any input.

The Home Link on the C6 will work with rolling code.

Thanks, for the replies. I think I'll buy a IDRIVE door closer tomorrow at lowes and install it.
