Hey guys, gotta little problem with my C6. Went out last weekend and was driving down the road and decided to pull over and load the 6-disc changer. Loaded 6 cd's and they play every song except for one cd, Tantric's new one. It will play only the first 3 songs and then it goes to 4 for a few seconds, without sound, and then to 5 and so on. I then have to unload this cd to listen to the others? Similar to locking up your computer, no buttons or anything works until I unload the one cd? Also, when I was doing this, the dash lights sorta flashed and then went dim. Now, no matter how far I turn the adjustment ****, they're just not as bright as they were before, I think? Are they supposed to be as bright as when you shut the car down and shift into reverse. When I do this, the dash and stereo lights are really bright until I open the door and they go off and the car arms itself. When this happened, it was getting dark outside but not quite there yet. Any suggestions? Thanks!
A couple things here. Ted is correct the dash lights have a day and night setting and dim to the night setting when the headlights are on. When you shut down they go to the max daylight setting for you to exit. It sounds like as it was begining to get dark your lights switched on which would of course dim the dash lights. Then you got the max daylight setting as you got out of the car. Also to adjust the dash lights you dont push the ****, you turn the **** till you feel it come against the stop and the lights will begin to smoothly dim or brighten (CW to brighten, CCW to dim) release at the desired level. Push on the **** to toggle between cabin lights on or off.

Guys, thanks a bunch! Crabman, that was exactly what was happening. Everything just happened at the same time, ( getting dark, lights dimming, CD not playing, etc.... ), for me to think something was wrong. At the time, I didn't know that there were day and night settings. Also, you're right about the dimmer switch. No need to push in, just rotate to adjust panel lights. Push in to turn on interior lights, push again to turn off. OBTW, the CD changer ( would play every song on every CD except on one, which it would not go above track 3? ) is working properly now. I simply turned on the ACC and unloaded all CD's and then turned off ACC. Then, I turned ACC back on and loaded a CD with 15 tracks and played a small portion of every song, 1 thru 15. I then loaded the remaining 5 CD's, including the one that wouldn't play above track 3, and everything works great.
Glad I could help out. Dont feel bad, this one has got a number of folks. For better or worse the Corvette has joined the ranks of BMW and others where there is a learning curve that has to be overcome.
