Is there anything special you need to do when you put the car away for 3 months? I cleaned, waxed and put the battery maintainer on it. Got a full tank of gas. Did I miss anything?
I've been storing my Fiero GT every winter since 1988 without stabil. Never had a problem.
My grandmother smoked till she died at the age of 95 too but I wouldn't advise smoking.....Stabil is cheap insurance especially if you have ever had to clean out a fuel system in the spring........it looks just like old varnish and is just as difficult to get rid of.
Bounty is a good idea just remember to place it in something (like an aluminum pie pan or a plastic open top container) since Bounty placed directly on the seats or floor might leave a greasy stain.

Minor point, when putting the battery maintainer there are two schools of thought, one is disconnect the ground lead from the battery to the car, the other is to leave it on. I'm of the leave it on mode.....thoughts?

I always left mine on in my c5 five winters in a row no problem
Does anyone jack up their care or use dollies? I haven't found the best way to address the flat spot issue. I really don't like to start the car once it's in storage.
I did see some wheels dollies with jacks on them, really pricey though.

I used to live in the Chicago area, they are right on! Stabil in a full tank, battery tender. I used to start if every couple of weeks and let it run for 1/2 hour. It worked fine for 8 years never had to replace the battery but when spring hit ran that bad gas out as soon as I could.

Same type of weather in New Hampshire , but my garage is big enough 36x48. that I can start it up and drive it up and back to solve all listed problems...Plus it is kept at 60 degees...

My 88 Fiero GT (16k miles/1 owner) had to go to make room for the C-6. I just could not let that car sit outside over the winter, regardless if covered. Found it a good home before Thanksgiving. I do miss it though. No regrets! Too bad Pontiac let it go just as they were getting it right!
