Minimum Leg Length?
Hi everyone. Newbie here, I’m looking into purchasing a new C6 Corvette. I haven’t even sat in one yet but if all goes well I am ready to buy. I have decided to get the coupe in machine silver with ebony interior. Z51, 6 Speed, 1SB, CC3, U2K, U3U. There is a 6 speed C6 that has every thing I want on it, available at a dealership about 100 miles away. My wife is only 5’1 and she will also be driving this car. Before we go check it out I’m concerned that she won’t be able to reach the pedals. I know the max leg room is 43.0 in, does anyone know the minimum leg room? I also was wondering if anyone less than 5’2 has driven the 6 Speed. Any info would be much appreciated.

My wife is 5'3" and drove my C6 on Sat. No problem. She did not have her FOB so I had to move the seat back to my position after sitting on the steering wheel by mistake!

I'm interested in this myself, my wife is not much taller, about 5' 3". I have a plan to get her a C6 with the 6 speed, as a surprise anniversay gift. She is currently driving a C4 with a 6 speed and she has no problem with depressing the clutch to the floor. In fact the seat in the C4 could easily go forward quite a bit more to accomodate someone even shorter. I just asssumed that she would have no problem in the C6.
Nascar Fan, if you check it out, please post the result. I would hate to buy my wife a car as a surprise, and the big surprise would be that she can't drive it. But I suspect that it should not be a problem for our wives.

My wife is 5' 3/4" and could drive the M6 with a little stretching. We had a friend who is a Corvette junkie put a spacer on the clutch pedal and cover it an the other two pedals with aftermarket pedal covers. Works great and looks good too. the only holes drilled are in the gas pedal which is cheap to replace if we wanted to return to stock.
I'm 5'6" with short legs and the spacer even helped me to be able to move the seat back to a more comfortable position.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Looks like we will be making a trip out to see this Corvette. I’ve been reading the threads in these forums for some time now, plenty of good info and help for the Corvette enthusiast. I’m glad to have become a member here. Thanks again for your help.
Update: It looks like I’m ordering a C6 with automatic transmission. Maybe I’m being overly cautious, but on the 6-speed in order for my wife to engage the clutch all the way she had to move the seat so far forward she was way too close to the steering wheel. Even in a low speed accident if the airbag were to deploy I think it could possibly injure her more then it would help. Any comments on this?
Right now I’m driving a Ford SVT Lightning truck. The Z51 was more comfortable. Where I live I have plenty of back road driving so I wanted the C6 with the performance suspension. It handles near perfect. This car is simply amazing.

W/1SB you get a telescoping wheel. BIG point for her. My bride @ 5'3" is totally comfortable with 6 Man
