Default Simple Pleasures

I'm one of "those people" that despises washing cars. But let me just say, on today, my last friday before i begin the semester it began to rain here in beautiful south Florida. I love the rain and I love my cars so i grabbed a towel and supplies and proceeded to wash my c6 and expedition in the rain. Just a simple pleasure... but i reccomend you all do it. The Vette looks very sexy when wet and sparkling in the rain

Although like Hoonose I use the California Car Duster and seldom wash the car during the summer, I really enjoy washing my cars and trucks. It is therapy for me. And I hate snow, simply hate it, they put down sand, salt, etc. Cold sucks, etc. BUT I really like shoveling snow, I love the exercise. I know, I am a sick puppy.

How about coming to my house in the beautiful Pocono Mountains?
You'll get plenty of exercise

I like washing my C6, it is quality time with my new baby, kind of a bonding thing.

Use my philosophy, you will be buff in no time. Besides the way it is going I will be spending almost every free hour shoveling.
Oh yeah, I slipped and fell hard yesterday morning on my back, messed up my elbow, and cut myself up a bit. It knocked the wind out of me so badly I really couldn't breath at all for a minute. When I finally got the strength to move I found I was stuck to the ice. I used to race motorcycles for a living, and have take many a horizontal trip the the hospital with red lights and siren, but I can't remember ever hurting so badly as yesterday. My back hurts from my neck to my hips. Picture of an idiot.
So I may have to hold off coming over and shoveling for you.

It is worse than you see on the tube. The worst part is the roads will be unfit to drive a nice car on for months. There are spots that actually have 4-6 inches of dirt built up on the sides of the roads. And black ugly ice packs are built up 4-6 feet high on the sides of many roads. Of coure those are full of sand and salt and they won't melt for months. It sucks.

Default We got white, so the dirt doesn't show

With white the dirt doesn't show as much, except maybe on the blue stripes we will be painting on it. I hate washing cars, so all you who love it, are more than welcome to come to my place anytime, and if you do windows and vacume then i'll give you free room and board

It is a hand held dust mop treated with paraffin wax and when used correctly makes short work of a dusty car without scratching. They are for sale all over the place.

It rains so seldom here that the water is filthy, your car is covered with an oily nasty brown film.

Give me a sponge in one hand and a Bud in the other and I'm totally happy. I keep all of my cars that way. The C6 will be no different. Should be here in a week.

I love my California duster but nothing beats washing my C6 by hand.

i dont know, i'm a bit weary of those california dusters. what if sand grains or dust become entrapped in it? Won't it cause micro-scratches to the clear coat?

Static electricity is what makes the dusters work so well. They ideally should not have heavy enough contact to cause micro abrasions, and I personally haven't noticed that to be a problem after 3.5 years of use on my red paint. It's almost like waving a magic wand over the surface and it is clean. They are great to use after driving to work or home and before the cover goes on.Anything that is not loose on the surface should be removed with with a quick detailer and microfiber towel, not scrubbed with the duster.
