Default My Turn!

Profit sharing check arrived today. I'm going shopping in the AM for my Vette! Z51, DVD, MN6, Polished Wheels. Color: I guess I am lucky in that I like them all!

Now...if I can just get a deal. In Texas.

Wish me luck!

If you can't find one for the right price, try one of the forum dealers.

Good luck but don't get so caught up that you over pay or don't get what you want. There are a few different forum dealers giving $3,000 off msrp and that is before the $1500 rebate.

A company that makes a profit! What a unique concept! Have fun shopping and get yourself a good deal so you will have some left over for mods.

Make it a GREAT DAY!! Buy one that's on the ground at a local dealer and drive home today. Your lack of real color preference gives you plenty of latitude. Don't suffer like most of us did

Default Fly to AC

Fly to AC, Kerbecks is $3,500 below MSRP then it home. Your Air Fare & travel will be paid by the $ you save AND you and the Bride will have a nice Vacation. They will pick you up at the Airport. And provide you with all the necessary out of state legal stuff. You can see all colors side by side. Ck their web site.
Don't get feeling too young and frisky on the way home with the bride - you might have to go back to a minivan.

Ok, I'm home. Without a Vette.

A great majority of D/FW dealers were unwilling to budge off of MSRP. Even with me waving $50K in thier face: "Nope, can't do it...". After lots of driving and lots of talking I finally found two willing to deal. One at MSRP - 1700 (about 10 miles from my house) and one at MSRP - $2500 (55 miles from the house. I actually like the second Vette because it isn't black (LOVE black, but can't keep it clean), and doesn't have OnStar (Hello $695! Goodbye ugly box taped to my windshield!).

I probably will drive out to the the second Vette (Victory Red/Black) on Monday, but I think doing so puts me in a weak bargaining position as the salesperson KNOWS I just drove an hour and a half to see him and I am less likely to just leave if the deal isn't there.

I'll update this thread when something changes.
