how many quarts of oil? I bought a case of M1.. 6 quarts.. do i need more?
Just changed mine... a little less than 6 w/filter.
BTW... if anybody is interested, the magnetic plug that fits our C-5's works fine... just a different wrench size.
Was getting ready to make my own, but tried an extra C-5 and it was fine.
I just got my oil changed and they put in 10W30 Mobil 1, is this OK? I know the manual says 5W 30. I live in Socal so it never gets below like 40 here.

Your car probably likes 5W 30 better but 10W 30 won't hurt anything in So Cal.
If you get your car done at Jiffy Lube or Oil Changers or something like that, in California most of the time they don't stock 5W 30. Just bring your own next time.

I dont suppose "they" had the courtesy to even ask your permission
before ignoring the 5W30 recommendation printed right on the fill cap?
In practice I dont think itll make a difference this first time, but
it makes you wonder what else the service tech doesnt think
is important to the owner of a new ~$50K+ car.
